I am using the X3_3294 v16plus.bin biosI got from x-bins on my version 1.6 X-box. I need to know If I am doing something wrong with how I flash it or something. i burn a 100mb dummy file along with the bios mentioned above only renamed Bios.bin onto a dvd-r disc using the Nero brurning rom program. I followed both team xecuter tutorials on how to burn the dvd-r, and on how to flash via disc from their website. I flash using the on, on, off, off, off config. I have to use the power+eject button push deal to get the flash bios screen to come up. When I try to flash the bios i get the green bar totally filled to green then a message that says "programming failed", and the box does not shut itself off. There were only 2 attemts of which the bar filled to green and the box shut down automatically. Both times when i turned the xbox back on i get the factory load up screens with no "xecuter rox my box" logo, and then a screen which says "05-Contact Customer Support" screen. It is as if the flashing never took place. I have read forums of others experiencing similar issues with the x3 bios and the x3 chip. What is the deal? Am I missing a step? Is there something wrong with my box? Or are these chips/bios just deffective? Please..., any time taken to help would be greatly appreciated.:(

mr1derful226 - Your err 5 means hdd is unlocked. If you lock the hdd again, you will find the original M$ bios and dashboard still work.
In regard to the programming failed, have you tried reseating the chip. Which install method did you use? Also, make sure that when you renamed the file to bios.bin that your computer did not automatically rename it to bios.bin.bin

That happens sometimes depending on your computer's settings.
