well, after a whole lot of fuss, i finally returned my xbox to normal working condition. 20 minutes ago, i thought i had destroyed a trace, thanks to Xecuters reaction... but as usual some solid patience and determination got me where i am.

now i have the ability to boot to my MS dash again without a problem...*whew*
i also can use all three combinations of button presses to get different X colors, but both bios settings provide no video.

really hoping i don't need to fix any solder points,

What exactly happens when you boot up with the chip enabled? What color is the power/eject light?

Also what version xbox do you have and are you using the stock M$ av cables?

i was using composite av cables!!!!! popped in the MS one and VOILA!

i can't believe i ACTUALLY did it.

Nice one, once you've flashed the bios you should be able to go back to your good ol' av cables

it's unbelievable. i feel like a fuXing rainbow right now. a ray of golden sunshine.

played the new Oddworld the second it started working...now onto ninja gaiden, breakdown and Halo NMP2/CXE...and after that EMULATORS! hell yes.

this thing is like a dreamcast on crack.
