Already have Bios on chip...

So I get a three boot frag (I believe) because the bios is already on the chip (On both banks) and is meant for a V1.0-1.5 box (Im running a V1.6)

So how do I get back to flash Bios? How do I put the correct Bios on the chip???

Note: Im not really dumb (Just kinda) this chip was in my xbox that died and I had updated the Bios on the chip (Thats why both banks are full)

try either the swap method (boot up your 1.6 with another chip in that works then swap the chip and reflash)

boot your chip in another 1.0 - 1.5 xbox (assuming it worked ok in your other xbox) then reflash

or buy a programer and flash

So there is no way to get to the chip VIA computer or anything? Those are my only choices (This is the last time Ill ask all this)

one way is u could tsop flash or another is UR gona have to get the programmer to reflash the chip with the cromwell bios in order to flash ur new bios to it ive had this a few of my old chips but after doin this everything has worked sweet

boot disk wont work mod boy cos his sys is fragged out so he cant boot till he sorts the bios
i wouldnt recommend tsop programming as the chance is he will defo kill the mod board.

the easiest way is to use a 1.0 - 1.5 xbox and it should boot then flash it with the correct bios

just remember if your xbox is a 1.6 (it will have samsung memory) and use cromwell 3.01 and if its a 1.6b(it will have hynix memory) and use cromwell 3.03

the same goes for the other bank that will be your main bank for booting

x2_5035_vOLD_512k.bin - older xbox versions v1.0 - v1.5 ONLY (do not use on a 1.6/1.6b)
x2_5035_v16plus_512k.bin - xbox versions v1.6 and v1.6b ONLY


it will prob be easier to get your hands on a 1.0 - 1.5 xbox and try to boot then finding a spare modchip to do the swap method but then again its your choice...baz
