RGH alt d pad on coolrunner

my pal tryed fitting the cr but heated the d pad too much and it come off i have traced it to here could antyone tell me if this would work cheers

You'd be far better using a smaller gauge wire on the SMD for about an inch and soldering the shielded cable to that instead. Above all, this is really messy work.

After you've insulated all that exposed wire, yes.
