hi,
Unfortunately we here in the UK cannot get a hold of Coolrunner qsb's so therefore I want to install the old nand qsb's from the jtag era to read and write my nand. But unfortunately the 3.3v coolrunner wire needs to be where the nand qsb is.

Diaboliq20 said he had to lift that qsb to enable the 3.3v wire to be attached to glitch it. then had to resolder it to write hacked nand because it didnt seem to get enough power to enable the glitch when the qsb was in situ

Is there an alternate point to attach the 3.3v wire from the coolrunner instead of lifting the qsb ???

tah

dale;)

any help would be appreciated

You can solder to the same point but from underneath the board, however you need to make sure it's well protected and insulated as if it comes in contact with the casing or anything metal which is GND then it will short.

Very strange i thought the 3.3v pad on the old qsb would have the same result as the new qsb 3.3v pad
you'd think - but for some reason - soldering to that point gave me low power...I tried and retried - in the end, just lifted the NAND-X QSB lol and I have to say my soldering was a thing of beauty if I do say so myself lolol

booted xell

then refitted the QSB to write the new image

then removed QSB again to refit 3.3V lol
