I have found another way of "standbying", to do this you must have 2 computers, a min of 3 Ethernet cards, Live and an Xbox... DUH!!
Anyways You have your internet connected to computer A then a separate Ethernet card is plugged into that computer and then a crossover cable is connecting computer B to A. Then you have another card that is plugged into computer B that will then you to your Xbox.
To go onto "standby mode" all you need to do is unplugged the crossover cable connecting A and B. The Xbox will still think the cables are connected thus will not take you out of Live and instead will make lag for everyone else (or if your not the host it will just lag you while your body just sits there doing whatever it was they were doing before you went standby).
I have tested this and it does work. I have not/never will attempt to do this on any ranked game (ESPICALLY HALO 2, AND ESPICALLY ESPICALLY NOT MATCHMAKING!!!!!!!), and I encourage you people not to also!!
PS: I know that there will be some jackass out there that thinks that the only reason why I'm posting this is to get more cheaters on live, or whatever... so I am now stating that you are indeed a jackass and that this should have no effect on the amount of cheating, because the people that do this WILL get banned... the only reason why I didn’t is because I tested it on Rainbow Six 3, un-ranked.
