hehe, wtf have you done? how did you manage to destroy lad0?
what type of wires are you using?

I don't know if there is an alternate lad0, if it is, you'll find it on the other side of the board i guess. you find it by measuring ohms with a multimeter. if you get 0 ohms you may have found it. don't use the beeper on the multimeter cause it sends out voltage!!! OHMS only.

Cannot run new backups on flashed Hitachi 47DJ

Hello everyone,

Im the proud owner of a flashed XBOX 360 hitachi drive (rev. 47DJ) which was flashed a while ago with maximus I believe. Was working great until the new xbox wave releases. Now I had to update it in order to play new backup games.

So I looked up on the web and the option was simple, use JF and iXtreme 1.51. So I hooked up my PC sata cable to my xbox, booted up with SLAX and got my xbox on B mode. My setup is under Win7 64Bits and it runs on "test mode" for IOport.

Long story short, I flashed to original FW then to Ixtreme and JF didnt report any kind of problems at all. Everything went smoothly!

The problem is here --> my old backups that worked with maximus (orange box, GTA 4, DiRt, etc) are still working on iXtreme 1.51 but any new backups will spin in the drive, make some weird noise and xbox will just say "open tray" ... Originals are working fine and I asked a friend with a modded xbox to test my new backups; they were all working fine!!

I honestly have no clue was is going wrong?!?! Could you guys show me the path to enlightenment?? lol

its probably a problem with the discs your burning, hitachis have pretty weak lazers so cant read cheap discs, try verbatims

That was my first guess but I did buy Verbatim DVD-DL and im looking at them and its the exact same as the previous backups I had burned (and that are working)... Theyre also RW for some reason...

Im 100% sure its not the disc since the previous ones work and, most important, my friend with a Hitachi 47DH reads all of my backups (yeah hes having fun while im still scraching my head lol)

tw, the previous firmware was a Maximus Garyopa

Re: Cannot run new backups on flashed Hitachi 47DJ

the only thing i can think of is to try flashing it again, if that doesnt work then its probably your lazer thats on the way out so you could try a new drive, btw in you first post you mentioned you used slax to get it into mode B, this is uneccissary with jungle flasher just hit the mode B button, it will ask you to eject your tray then press yes to continue then it will close and thats it in mode B

Re: Cannot run new backups on flashed Hitachi 47DJ

lol This happened to me, I brought a Flashed Xbox 360 with old Iextreme on it, and It never played latest games, Only Old ones. I restored it to Original Firmware and Reflashed and It was the same, Little did i realize that it flashed my Xbox with the Old iextreme again Not new one, So after flashing back to OF and to 1.51 Everything works Great..
