RGH Alternative ways to update NAND-X

I've tried updating my NAND-X in all of the ways listed here using an older (non-Rev D) CK3 Pro. Nothing worked and I can't see me doing anything to fix the autobaud error.

I noticed the CK3 has a serial port, is there maybe something I can do to update the NAND-X via this? I still have the first homemade LPT nand reader you had to make with the diodes for reading the nand. Maybe I can connect some stuff this way? If I can hack the NAND-X to CK3 update cable in some way I can do that too. :D

Would appreciate any help enormously!

my suggestion is to ethier redo the ck3 attempt with some help from us mods, or go and buy the 10$ usb cable or MAKE a diy update cable

Thanks for the reply. Is there a tutorial/diagram for the diy cable?

I might take you up on the offer and visit the IRC channel as well :)

mail it to someone to update it for you. Few shops only charge 10 with shipping back included.

my old one looks identical. mine is certainly legit, as it came from a reputable source. non-rev d. so you shouldnt need the wire, but i have read that it might help. i had a terrible time with mine too. i ended up buying another(nand-x) already updated.

Thanks hogd, yeah I saw it. But had the wire good :)

I ended up sending it to a friend. Hope he doesn't run into any trouble updating it with the CK3i
