Alternative X3 Switch Placement

I have a crystal xbox and am about to install an X3, however I was wondering how simple it would be to install the standard switch that comes with the X3 somewhere other than on the front of the Xbox.
Has anyone else done this, either on the back or side of the Box ? What was routing the cable like and was there any case modification necessary.
I know the Pro Swich would look great, it's just that I'd like the front of the xbox to stay looking as it does.
Any help and feedback would be appreciated.

Cheers for that...

Just had a look at the back of the xbox and it seems there wouldn't really be anywhere to pass the leads through without modding the case (someone please correct me if I am wrong). To my untrained eye the best I can see at the moment is to take the leads out of the very corner hole underneath the controller ports and then take it under the left hand corner of the box and then fix it to the ribbed part of the left hand side of the xbox, I would have thought those sticky pads would do the trick, it's not like it's going to get that much wear... :?

If you want it on the back (or side) you can run it through some of the metal/plastic vent holes on the side. It's pretty easy to just take out a small hunk of the metal and plastic to make a larger hole to pass the plug through. (I'm talking about the vent holes on the each side of the xbox)

If you do it on the very back corner you can put the wire down and under the XBox to the back (assuming there's enough slack).
