Am I upgrading my xbox 1.6 X3 bios correctly?

Hi

I have a xbox 1.6/X3 with 1879 bios. I want to upgrade my bios to the current 1959 bios, but im not sure what section to pick in the X3 menu. When i turn on my xbox it goes to the X3 setup screen listed below:

X3 config live
Bios Tools
disk Tools
Eeproom Tools
Settings
Hardware Info
-------------
Reboot to dash
Cold reboot
Power off

I've read the forumns but I dont want to make a mistake. Do I choose the "Bios Tools" section & then choose "Flash main" from the following menu:

Flash main
Flash backup rom
bios bank select
Bios bank naming

& insert my CD 1959 bios disk I created?

just select bios toos then select flash main bios and select what banks you what to flash.

easy as pie, that's the only way that i reflash my bioses. so far it has worked flawlessly.

Confirmation

I have a 360 taken apart, the drive is a Lite-On 74850C.

I found a place that sells the
Xecuter CK3 Lite + Probe for ~$30.
or
360USBXtractor + Spear for ~$31.

Everything else I've found has been $40+, so it's all out of the question (unless it's a lot easier to use).

I don't have to buy anything else on top of the stuff posted above, do I? I haven't seen how this "stuff" is connected to the computer.

When using the Spear or Probe, what is being touched?

That's what I was reading. I guess I'm supposed to touch them to the R707 circuit?
