so i had to resolder one of the pins on the pin header. after i did that, i played my box for about 10 min in the chip mode and it just froze on me and the led around the eject button turned amber.

now, when i resoldered it, im positive it was a good solder point. meaning there was no visible solder splash. the solder was a lot cleaner than the first time i soldered it.

i am using a v 1.6 box with an x3 chip

also, i noticed after the 2nd solder job i did on the pin, my red LED light on the x3 display is not as bright. any ideas?

now that i think of it, i hooked up the fan, but since i hooked it up last i have it sitting outside the box, so the cpu wasnt getting any air from the fan.

im gonna boot up my box. if that was the problem, 1 hr of down time should have cooled it off

your xbox is most likely overheating.
is that the problem everytime the amber light comes on? or did u just think of it overheating right off the bat since i said it shut off after 10 min on its own?

thanks

Flashed 360 game[s] won't load

Hey,
I just flashed my 360, and everything turned out great. I put a back-up of one of my games in the disc drive, and downloaded the game update. everything looked good. The load screen for the game came on, then the 'opening credits'...then my 360 froze. Out of 3 tries, it's froze at that screen twice, and one time it did a continuous load from the very beginning.

When I burnt the game, I did that abgx360 said everything was cool with it. There's a few little scratches on the disc, but nothing major. Any suggestions?

It may be the brand of dvd's you are using, or maybe a bad video file on the game. I would try a different dvd or a different game all together and see if it happens again.

Re: Flashed 360 game[s] won't load

I got that same thing once when I burned a few games some time ago. so instead I moved the files to my other computer. used a new disc of the same brand, but the burner in my old computer isn't the same brand and when I tried second copy of the same game burned on my old computer it worked fine. so it can possibly be the burner too, not just the disc you're burning on. this was some time ago though. got better with an upgrade of imgburn also and hasn't happend since that time.

(using ImgBurn 2.5.2.0 atm. I tried to upgrade to 2.5.4.0 last week. but then I couldn't burn at all with same discs. got some weird error. just downgraded to 2.5.2.0 again and works fine)
