No Amiga s 4.0 wont work on the xbox360, the emulator by lantus does not provide ppc passthrough or support.
It will work with os3.1 and os 3.09 perfectly tho.
It however does netbsd socket emulation and has support for the rtg and cybergraphics library's so you can use the internet and output a proper desktop at 1080p res. (Ibrowse supports some html 4 code and javascript so most web sites will work)
I have a setup with AAIB (amiga in a box) and it works with every whdload game I have tried so far.
It would be nice but lantus updated the emulator but he is prity much retired from the xbox scene.
I think he was talking about porting the OS, altogether, and not emulating it, as the OS was designed around PPC arch, it should be doable. Probably will have to be done with the LibXenon tool chain though. Totally not worth the time if you ask me.
Yes, I did intended for Amiga to be the primary operating system without having even considered a virtual machine guest.
I'd like to run something a tad more modern than an ancient version of Ubuntu, so what would you suggest to me? What is the most recent of Debian that will work?
Amiga OS is closed source you have to licence it from Amiga inc to be able to obtain it, it has strict policies that will probably exclude someone being able to port it to the Xbox,I'm prity sure hyperion inc is the current licence holder to distribute Amiga OS.
Morph OS is your best bet to get an Amiga the older builds are partially GPL and it could be built on to of libxenon but I don't see it happening.
if you want amiga os 4 the really only thing you can do is buy a very expensive actual amiga hardware with ppc accelerator or a amiga compatable ppc motherboard such as an amiga one, pegaso or sam440.

You could technichally port any version of linux fairly easily. You might have to manually patch a bunch of stuff, but the needed patches should be on libxenon.
