Annoying Xbox live connection issues please help!!!!

I have my xbox connected to my pc via a cross over cable with my PC inturn connecting to a router via a wireless connection and the router to the internet.

I therefore have 2 netowrk cards on my PC with the xbox connected to one and the router the other.

Ip addresses:
xbox (ip:192.168.0.120, gateway: 192.168.0.105)

Connected to
--------------------PC-------------------------------
Network Card1(ip:192.168.0.105, gateway: 192.168.0.101)

Network Card2(ip:192.168.0.101, gateway: 192.168.0.1)

Router( ip: 192.168.0.1)

When in network settings of xbox dashboard i continue to get a DNS resolution problem error
I am certain my DNS address is correct... can someone please help me...

Try the ISP DNS IP

if by ISP DNS IP u mean the DNS addresses which are given to me by my ISP, that is what im using... and i still get this problem....

Do i need to forward ports?? or is there any other solution??

does your router not have a wire hookup on it that you could connect the xbox to that would make it alot easier to setup. Ok is your xbox modded?? cause i was having and issue with mine due to the IP that evox had. Evox set it to manual IP address and put in the address in the M$ setting but didnt have a DNS inputed so I put it in and then everything worked fine.

to check your IP and DNS on your PC go to the start menu select run
then type "command" (no " ")
then in the dos window type "ipconfig/all" the will show you the DNS that your PC is using cause mine didnt match what my ISP gave me good luck man
