I had a spare X3 which i used on another xbox on a 1.6 xbox to test whether the other chip was dead.
However ive just installed it in a 1.4 and realised that it still has the 1.6 bios on it. Hence the cause of no video but i can hear sound etc when booting.
If i try to go to the backup bios the machine switchs off.
Any ideas people or could i put the chip in a 1.6 box and reflash it with the non 1.6 bios?
