Tried flushing x3 bios 1959 for 1.6 boards using 3.0.3 bios in the backup rom using all methods CD/HTTP and HD no joy. If I boot into backup bios dvd draw opens etc but if I’m using HTTP or HD install options, when dvd draw closes xbox resets. If draw is held open bios is cleared (Yellow bar) and then written to (Green bar) until about half way though then resets. CD install reads cdrw then starts flushing then resets after about 5-10 sec. I have to hold dvd drive open for all flushing upto 512k but can’t flush 1meg bios because xbox seems to time out. Any ideas or do I wait for a programmer to be built. At the moment I’m running M8 Bios_v1.6 with EvolutionX just to get by. :?

Benq Problem

Ok so I have a Hitachi 47 that messed up so I bought a Benq to replace it with. I couldnt find out how to it but found some steps. I loaded the stock hitchi filware and spoofed it to the ixtream 1.6 for benq. Now when people say go to the MTK tab I do and it doesnt let me hit any of the buttons to the right. Can someone plese help me with this. I have been at work with this forever.

Re: Benq Problem

you need to hook up benq and use benq unlock or magic keys to unlock the drive and put it in to vendor mode and thn you simply click on write.....aslong as u have spoofed every thing correctly it will write to the drive. once writen click on outro. and hook it back up and jobs a gooden

Re: Benq Problem

Ok sorry for being a total noob at this but unlocking the benq is the problem that I am having now. So there are other ways other than the half open trick to get it unlocked. And thanks for the help, People on afterdawn are pricks anymore.

Re: Benq Problem

Yeah that is right. I used jungle flasher to spoof the Hitachi filmware to the ixtream 1.6 benq but when I go to flash the drive that is where I am having the problem. The benq is new so had no filmware on it at all. I cant seem to get it into vender mode. I had problems getting my hitachi into mode b with my computer and had to to the wire trick to it. If you had messenger and team veiwer you could see what is going on.

Re: Benq Problem

if the benq is brand new then all you have to do is hook it up and turn the power on. load jf and go to mtk tab does it recodnise the drive? if it does just straight hit the benq unlock button. do this before you got to any other tab. try that. it should put it in vendor mode. no tray half open though.

Re: Benq Problem

check all your o ports until you see vad6038 in the drive properties as that looks like a hard drive to me thats being detected.

Re: Benq Problem

then its not connected properly. how are you connecting it? if you dont get vad6038 or 64930c then try turning off jf odo the tray half open and restart jf and check all the i/o ports again. benq drives are the easiest and ive never not been able to find one.

Re: Benq Problem

I have it connected straigh to the mother board. I unplugged my dvd burner and plugged it into my drive. The only other thing plugged in through sata is the harddrive.
