what i got thus far...im getting the X3 chip on friday so the whole front is going to change after a few weeks.

The DVD dongle is on all the time except when a person inserts a controler into port 4....

Sweet. Very nice. Do you have any EL wire or controller port lights? I'm guessing that your jewel is lit up, any thing else? I noticed the two toggles in back. What do those turn on or off? Looks great!

Bout time we saw more red boxes nice.is that a led i c in ur dvd dongle?As with linuxnoob2004 id like to know the specs of ne lighting mods you have fitted or plan to fit.Nice paint job.

ok one switch controls the jewel light from off/on/HD activity. the other switch is for the LED's above every controler port.

Ya that is a low outout LED on the DVD dongle. man that thing was a pain to fit into there!

Hope to get the chip in this weekend and post some new install pics.

Hey, how wide is the LCD? One might, potentially, place it under a cleared jewel! I think that would look neat. Plus, you wouldn't have to hack it up!

there is not enough room for an LCD screen under that cover...atleast i dont think so...
But what good is it doing me on the top of the xbox? im moveing some LED's and the DVD thing and placing it on the right hand side all molded into the xbox. also im going to paint the black that surrounds the screen with red also so it looks like it was ment to be there...

Ok i started hacking up and molding everything into my xbox front last night. Im waiting for the filler and front panel epoxy to dry in the mean time.
Ill take some pics of the progress tonight if i can find my camera.

ok i couldnt find the cam but no worries im still not finished with re-mounting the dvd drive PCB and molding everything in..i might finish tonight if im lucky...

Ok i have some more stuff to finish up on and get a better pic or two but here are some idea jurkers for you kiddies to think about doing

Everything is molded and yes that is my DVD dongle in the lower right corner.
I also have the LCD screen mounted flush to go along with the whole molded in theme. BTW the box is red not an orange like the pics. sorry but i couldnt find the good cam at the time.

what paint did you use exactly for it? im gonna be painting mine red soon, but i want a darker red than that... more of a candy apple red im looking for and i cant seem to find that...

I used Krylon Fusion...the cam sucks so they came out orange kinda.

The red is like a bright basic red. bold and brilliant. im trying to find the good cam...
