Installed an X3CE in a ver 1.0 and had trouble with DO lifting off and had to do trace repair. Then used alternate DO location on front of board. Xbox boots ok into 3.01 and flashed it via http to X3_1959 but get a blank screen. I have resoldered all pins in header twice and still blank screen. I have even removed the header and gone the wire solder route with the same problem. All lights on the X3 and front panel light as they should. I have read almost every thread I can find on this topic and most lead to a bad solder but I am quite certain that s not the problem. Could it be tht the do wire is the problem?

When you turn on your box is the LED on you switch panel red or blue?
Are you using the oem hard drive?
Are you able to boot and play game w/ the X3 disabled?
Did you check the link out about rar files?

Need more info? What vs. what chip and do a search (the under used button in the tool bar) and type in frag. That is what you have. Check the link out also

Light is blue as it should be with a quick touch of the button. Longer press of the button bypasses the chip and boots to xbox ms.

JRSTECH: You EXTRACTED the X3_1959.bin file from the X3_1959.rar file you downloaded, right?

Ok. good.
Try deleting the 1959 from your pc, go and download another copy, unzip it with Winrar and try it agian.
I'm thinking if you get the flash bios screen you might not have a bad solder and it could just be a bios issue. Also you could try flashing with a cd/dvd.
Most important is double check the tutorials and make sure you have the correct 100meg dummy bin and 1959.bin http://home.comcast.net/~x3guide/

Please check the Winrar link out to make sure you are extracting the 1959_v16plus right. http://www.teamxecuter.com/unrar/

Secondly check out the X3 guide to make sure what ever method you use to flash is being done correctly. (http/FTP/CD/DVD) http://home.comcast.net/~x3guide/
Click on the links and research the problem. If you can't find the answer then come back. I hope this works for you.
