Any reason a PAL game wont play on RGH

I have a PAL game that won't play on my RGH console. Everytime I try to launch the game it says region does not match my console. Have tried the Dashlaunch region spoof and that does not work either. Aren't RGH/JTAG consoles region free?

take it back to the store and replace it. where did you buy it at.

Was given to me by my bro', who was over seas in the military. So taking it back to the store is out of the question. Any other idea's?

Never tried it but I know there are region settings in the SMC. I believe one if the settings is "region free".
