yes, it works, but in my experience, the motherboards are crap, and arent worth the time.eg. the last one I did got 0022 in less then a week. soldering was prestine. Zephyrs are just crap boxes.

So in reality, your question should read: Any success with zephyr boards not being total crap?

The way your question is now, it just looks like you are questioning the CR4 working, which makes you look unintelligent.

must agree with you there jsinger47 it clearly says here,
This CR4 XL install guide covers Zephyr, Falcon, Jasper Motherboards using the R-JTAG+ method. You can have the absolute latest version dashboard installed if you wish
so asking that is like asking if the slim proto works on the trinity

The reason i posted the question is because a friend of mine has a 360 zephyr and has me would i fit a CR4 into it for him.
So i'm looking to see if modders have had good results with these terrible boards.

Well yes, provided the board is in good condition.

There is no issue with the CR4 timing for zephyr.

It comes down to whether the GPU on the zephyr is in good enough condition to handle it.

There really isn't a way to know until you try.

I personally wouldn't both unless the board has been reballed.

The CR4 is worth more than the console itself.

I know the CR4 works brilliantly.I fitted 1x on a Falcon board a few weeks ago for another friend of mine, had it booting into the dashboard in around 5 seconds.
The board though blew something about a week later and gave 4x Red lights on the RF board,so i de-soldered the CR4 XL and the QSB's,then fitted it all onto a Jasper i had laying around ( came to me with a totally dead DVD drive )
I got that Jasper booting into the dashboard in just a fraction over 6 seconds,so i know at first hand just how AWSOME the CR4 really is for a glitch chip :) :) :) :)

take it from a pro above he said he wouldn't bother , just like the old xenons , not worth it , if a customer asks me to fit one and thay say they are getting a console I recommend a jasper or a slim

I've told my friend to pick up a Jasper 360 and order a cr4 and i'll fit it for him.
I wasn't keen on his idea of asking me to fit it in his Zephyr, due too their poor build quality
