i already updated fsd on the xbox. i managed to get ftp working using flashfxp. now my problem is that fsd downloaded the update but i have no idea where it downloaded it too.I'm a bit confused now, are you asking how to FTP File to your 360 as you mention in one of posts you managed to get it working?
Or are you asking how to update FSD?
I simply allow my console to get an automatic IP address, it never changes unless I make some major changes and connect using FileZilla with that IP address using xbox as user name and password.
Where to transfer on your 360 hard drive depends on what you are installing, even though most transfers take place into HDD1 I think.
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
<config>
<locale>de-DE</locale>
<paths>
<path retail='' devkit=''>hdd1:\games\</path>
<path retail='' devkit=''>hdd1:\content\0000000000000000</path>
</paths>

lol man ya you have helped me alot i hit that red buttonWith Xex Menu 1.1 you can rip your official game disks to your Microsoft HDD, or External HDD . in Xex Menu in your hdd root Press Y. Create a folder call it Games then in that folder make another folder name it to what ever name your backup game is go inside that folder Press Y again this time Select CopyDvd your tray will eject put your game disc in close it by hand and then confirm it will make your backup Job done...
To FTP an Game over extract your disc or ISO using wax360 and FTP the files over to your hdd /Games/Game name folder...
Your FSD 2.0 is still in the making so it not complete yet so if you want a complete FSD go get 1.20 thats it peace out im done here lol..
You also seem to be havin trouble hitting that RED THANK YOU BUTTON
thanks for helping out but i seem to cant figure this out and im going to take a break from trying to get the games to show on fsdHey Man.
Sometimes a little break helps
FTP does work does it?
So you gotta define the Path to the Games Folder on your HDD.
A config for FSD would look like this:
You have to get your Country Coe in between<local></local>Code:<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?> <config> <locale>de-DE</locale> <paths> <path retail='' devkit=''>hdd1:\games\</path> <path retail='' devkit=''>hdd1:\content\0000000000000000</path> </paths> ........ other stuff here .....
In my case "de-DE" where ever your from.
Next thing is <paths>...
retail and devkit could be given but for getting it working just set the Path to your Games Folder like I did.
<path retail='' devkit=''>hdd1:\games\</path>
... So download your fsd2config.xml to your PC and make the changes.
Then upload it again of cause if asked with overwrighting.
Then restart FSD (IMPORTAND!)
Now it will scan for Games in the Folder "Games" you specified.
And *boom* there are your Games.Hopefully
P.S.: Have a look @ the config File, you can "sort" things in there. Like with the "retail / devkit" thing and stuff.
Hope it Helps.
