Why? Couldn't they just ask Team Xecuter for updates on the exploit? This would at least give me some hope including other people if it is possible to hack a patched device... :/

Yeah... I'm actually kind of curious too. I have a patched unit, hopefully they would bring an update on the bootrom exploit, and yeah, its true that it has been over a year already without any sort of update.
