Any way to fix bad dash update?

My box has Benq drive with lt+1.1. I tried to play madden 12 but it asked for console update. I accepted the update and now it shows unreadable disc error and a bunch of error code number....I suppose this is a failed update. Now I can't play anything. Console is stuck in the update.

I don't have original firmware....is this console a goner? or is there any way I can reverse it?

hook it up to JF, read the drive

then revert it to stock firmware

then you should be able to update with a FAT32 formatted usb stick with the update from xbox.com/system-update-usb

if you don't want to do that (which is your BEST option), you can flash to LT+v1.91 and update from the disc <-- not recommended though

If my drive was reverted back to stock from a Microsoft dashboard update, then will I still need to revert to stock firmware again or just go ahead and flash to LT+ v1.91?
I have a Hitachi 78.

Your Drive wont be flashed correctly from the Miscrosoft Update. You will need to flash to stock using JF, then the update will apply correctly from the USB Flash drive. The new update changes the drives number in most cases, so when you flash it with JF you will notice that its changing it to a Different Stock firmware to before.
