Any way to tell if Xbox has been on XBL?

Is it possible to to work out if an Xbox has been used on live before? Maybe by examining the hard drive contents? I'm thinking of buying a second hand Xbox and putting in a new hard drive in it, so it would be good if there was an way to tell.

you could put a new hdd in an xbox thats been on xbox live before...but the only thing is, if you go on live with it afterwards on that same connection, you WILL be banned from live.

Sorry, I meant to use the Xbox on Live. Purchase a second hand Xbox, put in a new drive and use it on Live. For that purpose I was wondering if it was possible to tell if the Xbox was used on Live before.

Well seeing as no one as an answer I guess it will just be a gamble. I thought surely there would be an expert that's knows about the files stored on the hard drive and of any indicators it's been on Xbox Live.

Anyway I'll just take my chances.

Well I gambled and I lost. The bloody idiot that previously owned this Xbox that I just bought, left all there files on there, including there Xbox Live save file!
