I have a Special Edition Halo Xbox, but I don't really know what version it is. (I bought it off Ebay factory sealed, and it said 'Made in China' on the sticker, but when I used teamxecuter's version finder system I got different results)
I'm lookin to install Xecuter 3 and its faceplate, and then flash as needed.
Maybe some other mods too, if I can scramble up the funding in time.
Thanks a lot.

Best setup for flashing

Thanks for the response on mod chipping or flashing.

What's the best setup for flashing?

Ive seen the Xecuter 360 Blaster CK3 and that looks interesting...
I also seen you can copy originals from the box but not sure how the blaster connects to a computer or what the deal with that is.

Any other products worth while?

Just looking for some opinions for the latest and best method avail today
And yea im a total noob but ya gotta start somewhere

Re: Best setup for flashing

to me the blaster just aint worth the cost. unless you got money to burn it's not worth what they are asking for it.

if you had to flash firmware often (which we do not), it might be worth it but a couple flashes of the firmware a year it's not worth it.

in general though if you plan on moding a moderate amount of XBox360's it's always a good idea to invest in a VIA 6421 PCI SATA card.

Re: Best setup for flashing

Im not planning on flashing alot of xboxes.
Im just trying to get an idea what im in for.

I havent got a 360 yet (just have a ps3)
I was planning on getting one from gamestop. They sell refurbished units for 129 so I figure thats not a bad way to go.

Just being infamiliar with how often the flashes need to occur and wanted to be prepared. I read the tutorial about flashing units but figured things may have change in the few years since it was writen.
