I have just installed my new x3 ce and the xbox boots as normal, the chip lights up blue but nothing on the external switch.

My xbox is the 1.0 version

any help would be appreciated.

i hope there's 2 lights lit up on that chip or that proves you didn't take ANY time in researching what might be the problem

there is two lights on the chip and now its fragging, are you free to help at all.

many thanks for your offer of help, the problem was a broken trace, which I managed to fix with an extra large blob of solder.

Once again, the soldering was at fault ..... hmmmmmm what a surprise !!
