Anyone put a manual switch on an Xecuter 3?

Hey,

I was wondering if anyone had put a physical 8 pole switch on there xecuter?
I really want to play on xbox live with my xbox, and I have two hard drives in my xbox. The original stock one, and a 200gig one. The only way I can guarentee never being banned is to disconnect the mod chip.

Anyone care to shed any light?

just disable the chip and use whatever hard drive you used live for.

If you absolutely want to make sure that the chip is not enabled, you only need a SPST (on/off) switch inline with the D0.

The reason I want the chip disconnected is because I have read posts on forums reporting that microsoft may be applying power to the lpc ports to see if there is a mod chip in place and then banning people. I would like to try and make sure that they cant do this to me.

In theory this is possible with the X3 because the switch turning the chip on and off is controlled by the X3. Where as, older mod chips used actual switches.

My thought is, if I disconnect the mod chip and use a stock drive. They would never ever ban me.

Or am I completely wrong?

If you are that worried about it, buy an XBOX for using on Live! and don't modify it.

I have used mine on XBL for nearly two months now with no problems, and if and when I get banned, oh well.

Kai is a good alternative.

What exact function does the D0 perform??? I have so far modded two xbox's. a 1.1 and a 1.4 one with a X3 and one with a X3CE.

now how would they be able to apply power to UR xbox lpc ports? would they send some signal or something?

ive been using XBL, with one locked 200 gb hdd, since x3 came out, and no banning happened !!!

why are you worried so much?
IF you got banned, you could always get a neighbor or a friend who doesn't entend to go Live and buy his original ms bios and put it on your box (www.xbox-scene.com)

I think this sending power to the lpc is a load of crap. As is the bozwollox that you cant dissable the X3 on a 1.6 board.

I have even logged on to live with the X3 enabled and have not been banned - the X3 stopped the connection and saved my arse.

Lets face it, the X3 is one well cool piece of kit, and I would not worry about live. If I ever did get banned I would simply get another eeprom or xbox.

Bottom line is if you like live that much, and are sh*t scared of getting banned - then dont mod your box - it really is that simple.
