Anyone seen this problem before? its new to me :)

Hello all, just wanted share a funny thing that happened to me which is new, Ive fixed many 360s 3red rings in my time and it hert me when my Elite come up the 3 rings today, it was painful but I couldn't accept it, I knew something else was at fault other then the console, so i then removed my New pad and it loaded, Putting the pad back in and 3 red rings... I then tried it on my other consoles and Again 3 rings. 3 red rings off a Pad? Just wanted share it and has anyone else had this problem because I thought it was funny.. I've fixed the problem "the wire from console to Pad" but wow, pad = 3 rings is new in my books

a short in the usb line can easily cause rrod - so i presume this is the same concept!!

Well its made me question somethings.. Normally 3 rings to me Means Thermal change, if still nothing reflow and another thermal change untill working... Next time ill slow down lol, didn't know that...

Maybe something like this could be the problem to my other xbox? I have an xbox that plays fine... Its a nice HDMI xbox which works ace, then randomly when I turn it on It instantly goes load "fans spin turbo" then hits 2 red rings, after afew on/off it give the 3 red rings, I reflow and it works so I asumed it a cold solder joint under cpu/gpu or nand etc, maybe its something else,
