A friend of mine installed and x2.6 on a 1.6, but the red 5v lead was missing so he just soldered a wire direct onto the pad on the x2.6 board.
Flashed with evox, everything worked fine. Then I gave him a red 5v lead I had spare, so he desoldered the wire and fitted the proper one.
Now it frags when mod is enabled. I've took a look at the board, and with a meter noticed that both of the pins on the board in the red housing are linked, I've removed all solder and flux and I'm still getting continutity across the two pins.
Are these two pins on the same track or has he shorted the pair together? I don't have another 2.6 here to compare with.
