Parts is what I use most of them for. Make sure you check yours to see if you have one of those rare jtagable xenons. :)

What I know of xenons is:
-Very likely to RROD (I have had 3 rrod xenons, 2 of which rrod in 2005)
-As Krafter said, good paperweight
-Great for spare parts
-Some are jtagable
-Might sell for over 6.00 USD

imho, reworking,or learning to rather is the best use.i say that for a few reasons.first of all the xenon has this gpu,i dont know what it is about it,but is very finiky to heat, and hold moisture more so than other gpu from what ive noticed reworkin em.moisture makes em "bubble" on top under regular reflow temps.so the xenons give you the fulllll effect cause thier sooo tricky to reball /remove chip with the heat needed to do the job, without bubbling it,its tricky!if you can reball xenons np,then you know you got ur reworking technique down to a science.this is why alot of guys wont even touch em as far as reworking goes, and me hell it really depends on my mood when you ask me to do one.lol any guy that reworks will prolly know what im talkin bout ^^^

I reball them all the time when I'm bored, you can still get a little cash once reballed and getting the DVD drive flashed. Better than laying in a box aging for years. Their fate is up to their owner :)

yeah, I gotta agree with you nofel, those silly xenons are much more sensitive than the others. Need to be a little more cautious with those gpus for sure

I have an ACHI IR-pro SC with spitfire mods profile... only tried a reball once. I have a lot of consoles to practice with. Maybe ill get it down soon
you can use something like ipa to kinda draw the moisture out of em,but it wont get all of it,a long preheat on xenons is best imho.

I get by with using a profile that has longer dwell times earlier in the profile to bake the board and gpu before she gets down to business. Haven't had a popcorned xenon for a LONG time ;)
