Asking for password after flash with 1959

XBOX V1.3, X3 - solderless installation (XAPT3R)
after successful (?) flash with 1959, on the first screen after reboot appears "on screen keyboard" with: Please enter your password; (Y) - SAVE ; (B) - CANCEL ; (X) - Delete.
Tried reflash with earlier versions of the BIOS - same results.
Any ideas?
Need help.

Bump, my dad's cousin still can't figure it out.

It was suggested that this chip may had been used before and returned after someone put a pass, is it able to be flashed as my cousin was told? If so, is there a tutorial anywhere or is it fairly simple? If this does not work, should we rma the chip with a big nasty note?

Thanks, but a new problem. I put old bios on my 1.3 xbox, Xecuter 3 w/ xapt3r at my cousins and then tried to boot passworderaser and damn guess what? It's been frozen for 2 hours now.

Any ideas? Rma the chip? Throw the xbox out of the window due to frusteration? ;):rolleyes::mad::(:eek:


Side note: Is that angelina Jolie in ur avatar (Just want to test my memmory :eek:)

Yes it is...ahh..lets see. You flased with X2...made boot disk...ran x3erase.xbe?....and it freezes? I just want to be sure. If it boots your boot disk it's working fine.

I'll have to ask my dad's cousin, who started this thread but from my understanding that is exactly what he did.

Yep. It shows big nice frozen "LOADING" across the screen (tried to launch the eraser from different file managers and directly, as a game).
flashet with 4979.67 and the latest X2_4983.67 with same results.
And don't be confused with the responders, I am JaGWire's uncle. ;)

Any suggestions why the ERASE app. hangs? Tried to launch it from DVD and from HD - same results. Other applications and games are OK.

have you tried working with the evox bios (M8) ? i had the sam probleme you had , flashed it with a m8 , ran evox dash , ran the x3 eareser , flashed it again with 1959 . didnt have any problems.
you should allso try to empty your tdata and udata folders on E .
then try to run the eareser again .
just want to make sure you got the bios and the earser from the usuall place , and instaled it with qwix or the same.
