Asus sata chipset?

i have the p5k and HAD the mvp-32. i had the hitatchi so getting the drive into mode b was easy but when u're trying to get the computer to detect it, what worked for me was opening and closing the drive while windows was booting and starting the 360 after i booted the pc.

eDIT: so in other words... your motherboard should work
