Sorry if I'm posting in the wrong area, I am new to forums in general. I have a problem, I just bought an ATAPI Ihas 122 8 off of Amazon from a link another user on this site posted. I tried cross flashing this to no avail, can anybody tell me if my drive is able to cross flash because I really want to get the burnermax firmware and burn xgd3 games. Thank you to anyone who can help me, and please if the answer is obvious don't be a d**k about it.

No BL4K3Y I haven't tried the burnermax payload tool, I heard of it but never tried it because I didn't have a full understanding of what it was for

Its easy to use just click on the Help tab and its all explained. Allows you to burn XGD3 back ups fully.
Nevermind the previous post about it not working I forgot to put a disc in the drive lol. So from my understanding flashing your burner with burnermax firmware was supposed to make it so that I burn games at 2.4 x speed because currently my drive only supports 4 x and up, will this effect the quality and success rate of my burned games ?

The Payload Tool must be ran each time you want to burn a backup.
You shouldn't have any problems burning your games at 4x.
If I am not mistaken, the latest version of ImgBurn also includes the Payload, so you might want to give it a try.
Okay thanks will try this. Sorry for all the questions but I've seen certain games that are 8.14 gb, does the payload tool help to burn those or do you need a dl disc with more space ?

Okay thanks. I'm using Memorex DL disc and am getting the “Disc Unrecognized" error even tho my games burn perfectly, what could be the reason for the error because I went through a good amount of DVDs because of this.

You need to use a program called Kprobe to test the results. Just because its burned successfully with Img burn or other burning programs still dose not mean its acceptable for live or a good burn.

Also could be a problem with your rip from the original and then we would need to look at your XBC, Img and ABGX logs.
