Attempt to re-install the X3 and now FRAGS, chip or no chip

Hey everyone.

Well I sent in a post about how my chip worked o.k. but after a period of time that the X would turn from blue to red, and at the next load point in the game it would freeze and need a reboot. Everyone said that the chip is only required at first few seconds of boot, and that the problem would be in the soldering. So I re-touched all solder points to make sure. Once I tried it it would work but light would go from dim-bright when I moved the chip on the pin header. So I took it off and noticed that one of the pins in the header was not connected and moved down and wasnt making contact. I redid everything again and it started to FRAG. So I redid all connections the LPC build over and over and still FRAG. So I COMPLETELY REMOVED everything for the mod chip install and it still frags. The board looks very clean and I dont see any lifted pads or scratched tracers. So why would it FRAG with everything removed?

I guess I will get a new BOX and try again, I am assuming that my chip is still fine as the box doesnt work even with the chip un-installed.But wondered if anyone had some advice so I dont KILL another box :-(

had sorta the same problem with the pin header. So said f it and just went with the wire install. Worked like a charm and in my mind was sooooooo much easyer then the header. took me like 2 min to do all the wires once I got the pin header off. but now that your box if fraged I would say you bridged something playing around with it to much. I was worried about that as well. Just go rent an xbox from blockbuster and swap out the mobos and play dumb. :) hehehe.

ripping with 800 flashed TS-H943

hey gang, so I chose to get a new drive to replace my kreon that had been using, I got a TS-H943 had it flashed with sammy 800 it shows up fine in my computer using a maximus power dongle connected to sata in the comp. using XBBC 2.9. my question is what are the settings in XBBC for using the h943 over the kreon I had. with the Kreon it took about 15 mins to rip a game I did a test rip of my copy of Batman arkaham and it took almost an hour and a half. In the drive speed choice in XBBC I have set at 12x just as with the Kreon.

I have look all over online for a tutorial or etc for the correct settings for using the 800 flashed h943 but cant find any.

Any help would be appreciated.

I will PM you with a tutorial that I have for this, but its on my home computer....I can t access it from work.

It gave all the seetings require to rip games with XBC 2.9 and a drive flashed with the 0800 firmware.
