I've searched the forums and have found threads where people seem to have the same problem as me, but never get any help. I flashed with the newest BIOS, and now when I start my xbox with X3 on, i can hear whats going on in the background, i know the game is playing, but there's no video. When I start the xbox with X3 off, everything works perfect, video & all. Can anyone help me out? Tell me what I could have done wrong?

Many games returning 'disc unreadable' after LT
Forgive me, been searching but cant seem to find a clear answer.
Just finished flashing to LT and I'm getting lots of 'Unreadable Disc' messages. One read through far enough to update the x360, others get through the game loading screens and then bomb out, I imagine when a movie or something should start.
Is this indicative of any particular type of problem? Maybe LT is a little stricter about media/burn speed thatn iX 1.6?
I ran a few of them through ABGX and they passed the important stuff..SSv2, Stealth, SplitVid
Any ideas what I should be looking at next?
***Update: Not sure if I should be able to or not (never tried this option before really) but if I try to 'Install to HDD' it gets to the very end of the process and then tells me the disc is dirty/unreadable...

sounds like your laser is dying mate not anything to do with LT

I would only say I tend to disagree with it being the laser is because I can go play some previous backups (pre-Wave3 I guess, which is what got me headed down this road to upgrading FW) and they seem to play OK still.
My previous FW was iXtreme v1.60-12x-FINAL-VAD603
Beyond the FW, I haven't changed anything really. Same media, same burn speed as usual.

There could be other things causes some disc not to play before you just blame it on LT...
Dont you think if LT was the problem it would be all over the net....
Research the issue...take your time and get it right...

It could be either down to your laser on its way out, Bad Flash issues or just that the disc aint burned properly.

its nothing to do with LT as the fw dont care what wave the game is it will boot anything

not trying to highjack your thread just wanna say that my drive reads disc it says open trat what i have to do s take my drive out of the 360 then move the lens up and down couple times then it reads my disc again pretty weird if u ask me

Was just commenting that flashing to LT was the lowest common denominator.
Now that all said, I reburned one of the ones that was failing on the same media just at a lower speed and it seemed perfectly fine with that so I'm going through and redoing a couple of others that also failed from that batch.
My only assumption at this point is that it seems the LT flash has caused directly or indirectly my drive not to like things burned the way I used to previously with iX1.6, I have nothing else to attribute the problem to.
Lesson learned...though I may have gotten by with faster burn speeds before, it isn't working anymore so let's stick with what works.

Glad you found your answer. I had this problem a couple of weeks back and it was doing my head in. The latest of my burnt games would work then just stop with the dirty disc issue at certain points.
After buying different blank dvd's which then worked fine after burning I figured it out to be a batch of dodgy discs. Gone off Verbatim discs now.
