Avatar wont show up

hello guys, I ve got a strange problem.

I ve got 2 Rgh Xboxes both are working fine.

Problem: If I plug in my original 20 Gb Hdd my Avatars wont load on start up .... they are white.

But if I put the HDD back to an original Console ... the Avatars are showing up.

Also tried my other Hdd on the same Rgh Xbox ... there the avatars boots up too .

Also tried resetting the Dashboard Settings

So could it bee an install issue with my hdd ???

Using Dash: 2.2 Rev725
Kernel version: 2.0.14699.0

Put what ever dashboard your on update on the root of a usb and rename it $$ystemupdate and either boot or reboot to run the update that should fix it.

is it really necessary ??? cause my avatars on my other hdd are recognized .... if i put it on my rgh box

I dont understand sry ... listen again.

I updated my console to latest Dash then, Ive done the reset glitch hack also with building the updated file with (14699) in Multibuilder ... and flashed back to my console ... freeboot and everything is running ... and I have to update the console again ?! is that right ?

Of course they worked, if the necessary files for the avatar are copied to HDD. :)

Just put the official 14699 update on an USB stick in the $$ystemupdate folder, or if doesn't require update, put it normally in $Systemupdate folder (it depends of your Dashlaunch settings).

Be careful to update with 14699, not newer versions like 14717 or 14719!

If you have Avatars installed from 2.0.14699 on a retail box, then moving that storage to an RGH running 14699 should make them work too.

OP - can you confirm if both consoles are on 14699 and if so, check launch.ini and see whether you've set contpatch=true. If so, change to contpatch=false and retry.

Yes, it should work.

But if the other console he's trying has the update on the MU (if it has one), swapping the HDD won't make a difference. At least that what I think. :)

OP - give more details about your consoles. The one that isn't working had 14699 already installed when you made the RGH? The one which is working has HDD or MU? Does the avatars still work if you remove the HDD?
