wheni flashed my x3 ce chip i continued to get the same screen the flash bios 3.0.3 screen. What am i suppose to do to get the chip to work.

that's probably because you reflash flashbios again. You need to dl hacked X3 bios from #xbins. http://www.xbox-scene.com/articles/xbins.php.
Once you get the rar file, extract the files and use the appropriate bios bin file for your xbox version. Make sure to set your switches to [on on off off off] prior to flashing.

but when i have the banks set to on on off off off there is only a blank screen but when i have the banks set to off off on on off then the flash bios screen appears what did i mess up this time

not sure but you can't flash an X3 bios onto a 256k bank, which off off on on off is (since X3 bios is 1mb). Do this, press power and eject buttons at the same time until your X3 logo on X3 control switch panel turns purple, that you should take you to backup flashbios. Make sure your switches are on [on on off off off] configuration and then flash. If the backup flashbios does not come up, set your switches to [off off on on off] to boot to flashbios then set the switches again to [on on off off off] and then flash.
Again, make sure to flash with X3 hacked bios and use the appropriate bin bios file for your xbox version.

i did what u said and u must be a genious or something close to it. so therefore i have one last question when i flash the bios and the xbox turn off why does the flash bios screen continue to appear what ami suppose to do next after i flash and that screen continues to appear

ok i used the X3 3029 flash that i got from x bins and i burned the cd the way that i was suppose to because the xbox picked up dvd and flashed the mod chip but the flash bios screen continues to come up and i did as i was told and still cant get past the flash bios screen
couple of things I would think of if you flash with the proper bios and you still have flashbios after flashing. 1) flash protection is on but of course it would tell you if it was 2) you reflash flashbios by mistake 3) bad x3 control panel switch- in this case, try disconnect the control panel cable at the chip's end and flash again.
What I would do after trying to disconnect the cp cable from the chip and still no go (if you are sure you are using X3 bios 3029) is try to flash to banks 5678 [off on off off off]. If it still does not work, try older bios like 1959. If that still does not work, perhaps a bad chip because I am running out of ideas.

just thought of this. If you have home network or crossover cable, perhaps you should try a different method of flash like http flash (which I really like) instead. If flash with http, you don't need to rename your bios and no need for dummy file nor burning cd neither.
