Ok yes I'm a noob and I dont deserve to live....I got my X3 & LCD + Pro switch yesterday and I'm still doing some research before I do the install. About the P/S:

1. Does it replace the switch included with the X3 I figured it did.

2. It didnt come w/ cables and I couldnt find any inside the X3 that matched. am I missing a cable or am I just freaking out?

3. After looking around I only found pics of the P/S does anyone have any guides although it looks simple, without the cable I have no way of knowing where everything plugs to.

1. Yes

2. You're freaking out. Use the cable that was included with the X3>Switch

3. The Pro Switch plugs into the cable that would go to the included switch.

Hitachi GDR-3120L best flashing method to date?

I have been out the scene for a while and would like to ask you guys a question. I have an 2007 console with an Hitachi GDR-3120L Rom Ver 0079FL and would like to flash it to play backups. I have flashed loads of Samsung drives without any issues but about a year ago I bricked one of these drives using Jungleflasher! I dumped the original fw so I was OK but I don't want to do the same to this drive!

My old PC I use for flashing is running XP and it has a VIA 6421 PC Card.

Job done, now running iXtreme 1.51

I used JungleFlasher (latest beta) with an old XP machine/VIA 6421 PCI card. Burn't unlocker CD, put drive in B mode, dumped fw, saved key and original fw bin to my PC, flashed iXtreme. I was really worried it would hang and brick the drive but all turned out good!

Jungleflasher goes to extreme lengths to avoid hitachi bricking. Its still possible but the chances are reduced greatly
