LITEON DG-16D2S Back to stock fw?

I have an xbox 360 elite 120gb with a lite on dg 16d2s drive. I'm on dashboard 2.0.13146 and flashed my drive with lt 1.9

Since some new games require the latest dashboard update I was wondering if it's best for me to reflash my drive back to stock fw( orig-02510C-1c000.bin ?), before updating my xbox to the latest dashboard via USB stick?
Or can I just plugin the USB stick, update, and then reflash it with LT 1.91?
I just want to have the safest way to avoid being banned . I made sure all my games are stealth in ABGX.

definatly as it reflashes your drive back to stock when it updates so im sure microsoft logs this
i personally give microsoft as few reasons as possible to want to ban me and this is a big 1

if you're on 13146, then you have already had ur drive flashed.......
ALWAYS flash to stock before a dash update - you are correct in what u think should be done i.e. flsh with stock 02510 fw....update then reflash with latest fw

Best thing is to connect your drive to JF! to make sure which firmware you have ! Update to stock ,update your console then reflash to 1.91

Well I remember when I did that dash update my drive fw was updated to that 0225 like most others. But ok, I shall flash it back to stock FW before starting the update via USB.

Is there any guide out there how to flash back to stock FW? I have ofc all the files saved that were used when first flashing my drive.

Its exactly the same in flashing back to stock however when you come to choose the firmware version just choose stock.
And then update to new dash, then after that's complete you are free to then apply the latest firmware for your drive.

all depends which drive you have

nope - not locked.....only slims get locked

a slim with 9504, still on an older dash with LTv1.0 I think.
Dont go on live with it though. Just pre ordered a board for it from modtraders to lock/unlock the drive.

what are you on about ? He has a phat liteon now 0251, they don't get locked on live !!

ah i see what you on about, yes true ..if you have slim 9504 will get locked if you go on live and become an 0272 (should have started your own thread though so things don't get confusing) !

Hi, yes and apologies I should have started my own thread and realised that after my posts. Many apologies for that. I misread his post and thought he had an 0225 slim.
Will have to wait to see if i can get a board from modtraders, I have preordered one though )
