I just Opened A box I Bought today at Game Crazy Its manufacture Date is November 10 2004. This box is wierd first off the screws were silver not black. Secondly the RAM is Samsung Not Hynix??? The drive is a Samsung SDG-605. I thought 1.6a's were a thing of the past.. Has M$ switched back from the cheap Hynix Ram .. Can anyone else confirm this suspicion?

Samsung and Hynix dont 100% confirm a 1.6b or 1.6, and yes i believe that samsung is now being used. But its still 1.6b.
Disc read error. I'm doing all the right things?
I bought Verbatim DVD+R DL, burned at 4x, made sure my book type was correct, "stealthed" the .dvd file with abcgx360, and burned with imgburn. I'm on my 4th disc of the same game.
The discs would play for a while, then it sounded like my 360 was being pretty taxed, then the disc was unreadable. The next couple discs I burned were readable for a week or so, then, no dice. I'm on the latest disc, which seems to be doing well, but still get occasional disc read errors.
Any advice?
