Backing up games on 0078fk

I upgraded the firmware on the 78fk to hacked firmware with firmware toolbox 3.0 and flashed the drive. I tried using Xbox 360 Backup creator v2.5 and it gets a sense error and says CDB can't be read and secruity sector can't be read. So i don't how to get a backup...please help.

YOu cant Make the game dump using the hitachi drive.

You must use a "special" smasung kreon drive or the wxripper/hotswap method.

OK - so why did we even need to upgrade the 78FK Hitachi drive to the 1.6 Xtreme firmware included in the 3.0 Toolbox? Should we just keep that firmware on to allow "playback" of games, but not "backup" of games?

If that is the case, how do we do the backup with wxripper? Can we use the hotswap method to read from a non-XBOX 360 drive, i.e. an ASUS or something? Or do we actually have to get our hands on a Samsung to do anything?

the reason you cant make back-ups with hitachis is they dont unlock the game partition correctly.

Thanks man - we are going to try the video swap dvd method tomorrow. Do we still need the firmware update from the 3.0 Maxium toolbox to allow playback?

Also - can XBox Live detect firmware changes in the DVD-ROM drives and shutdown access that you know of?

There have been no Xbox live bans as of now. But that could change and we do not know
And you still need the firmware hack to play burned games.
