Anybody have a tutorial for instructions on this? I installed my mod chip and the new HD but when I boot it up in disable mode it says to contact M$.

What is the error code in the upper left hand corner?
You need to make a boot disc of any dash that has FTP support. Or does the X3 have FTP built in. Damn it's been so long since I've done this.
Anyway once you have your network setup you can send the files over to the xbox.
Also just to check. Is the new hard drive set to Cable Select?

I am going to install X3 today so I can check then. I think the code was 16. As far as the HD settings I have no idea what so ever what you mean. Here is the HD I bought if it helps - http://www.consolesource.com/ecomm/customer/product.php?productid=1603&cat=171&page=1

My question is what info do I need to copy over? Which folder do I copy it from and where do I copy it to on the new HD once its configured?
