This feels like this is such a noob question but I've searched here and with google and just haven't been able to find a complete answer.

Hardware:
Slim Trinity
Lite-On 16D4S
TX Demon
TX CR Rev C

I finally had a chance to update my XBOX firmware via XBL this weekend. Before I could do that I had to flash the drive back to stock. Everything went as planned and everything is working fine. No problems, now running 16202 on XBOX and DEMON nand. Normally at this point I'd just reflash the drive with LT+ and be done with it.... but I'm considering leaving the firmware on the drive as stock as I don't really need it to be flashed.

I recently purchased a couple new games and have them backed up to iso and installed to a second hard drive only used for the DEMON nand. I'm considering not burning backups of these to a DVD and instead only using the retail disc when playing on XBL. Clearly, using the original retail disc would eliminate any chance of being banned from XBL as the result of a bad burn or in the unlikely event the M$ finds a way to detect LT+.

Finally, the question. If I accidentally put a backup disc into a stock drive while connected to XBL would I be banned?

According to this thread....http://team-xecuter.com/forums/showthread.php?t=58387http://team-xecuter.com/forums/team-xecuter.com/forums/showthread.php?t=58387 it says "Do not ever put an AP25 backup game in a DVD drive UNLESS it has LT+ flashed to the DVD." but doesn't say what the result would be.

This thread.... http://team-xecuter.com/forums/showthread.php?t=55546 shows how the xbox will respond to a backup disc in a stock drive but doesn't make mention of any flags that may be set.

Yeah, the statement above is correct. You can't get a drive or system banned or flagged for AP2.5 or XGD3 issues, if you don't have modified firmware in the actual system.

Think of it as putting a burned disc into your cousins 360, that has never been opened. The system will attempt to read the DVD, notice right away it is not a valid Xbox 360 DVD, and just ignore that it has a 'wanna-be game disc' in it. Any system with stock firmware will give you the same result. You can't ban a system for attempting to use an invalid game disc, if the system itself has not been modified.
