Backups Freeze when loading

i used to make loads of multi game backups using craxtion, i remember reading a guide where it said to go into the programs folder and replace certain files to make a good multi game unfortunately i can't find that guide any more.

I'm using craxtion 4, i put 2 game backups, sid meiers pirates and mercenaries on the backup. I use menux with mxm default xbe. Both backups load. But both get to a respective point where they are loading to actually start the game where you control things and bit freeze at these loading screens. Any tips will be most appreciated thanks.

I'm using imgburn the latest update, and i just burnt a backup of pirates as an iso and it will not work on its own either.

Tried nero same problem. i Just burnt a backup of tony hawks 4 and it worked fine so i'm thinking it has something to do with pirates or mercenaries or settings on my xbox.

if the pirates game doesnt work by itself either, i'd venture to say its a bad backup of pirates.

the thing is mercs does it as well, as a multi and as a 1:1 backup, surely they both can't be crap?

I already have backups of these games on different media, and they work fine, they are dvd+r and i'm currently trying to back these up on dvd-r, but i have had no problems with any backup until these 2.
