Hey guys, I need your help on this one. I installed a 2.6 lite chip into a v1.6 xbox. I've done 2 X3 installs into v1.6 xboxes and both worked beautifully. When I installed this 2.6 chip, I used the X2.4983.06 bios into bank 1 which has worked great for me in previous installs in older xboxes. Now, I know that the 1.6 is a different animal and that you need a special bios. I checked the documentation for the bios and it said that it worked with all xbox versions including 1.6 and 1.6b. After I installed the bios and rebooted the xbox, it frags. I know that the chip is physically fine because I put it into a v1.2 xbox and it booted up beautifully. It's also not due to a bad solder job because it booted into the initial bios loader with no issues... it only fragged after I put this bios on it.
How the heck can I get this bios off of this chip and install an approved bios in it's place? I thought that if you held down the white button while booting that you'd be taken to the FlashBIOS screen, but nothing happens. How do I correct this?
