Really dumb of me but I couldnt find the EDIT button on the thread.

I should note that I read my nand 4 times and they all matched with the same bad block

I had a look at XNAND healer but was a little confusing.
On Remap bad blocks tab I selected nand.bin in the 'from file' part. I then selected nand4.bin in the 'nand to be remapped' part.
I then hit remap.

It told me it had remapped the blocks, so then using coolshrimps I made a new ecc file and trying flashing it but it still said error writing block 39.....

Both XNANDHealer and J-Runner should sort the ECC bad block for you when you write it.

Yes, you'll get an error writing block 39 as it's a BAD BLOCK (you already know this, hence the topic you started).

You CANNOT fix a bad block, so it's remapped as per the tutorial I wrote.

So you are saying you were doing all this without reading ANY of the official instructions
