use j-runner and if it not in that first 50 block where the ecc file goes then ,it will be ok to proceed !

As far as i know you write xell to the first 50 (HEX) blocks of the nand which involves block 0 to 4F.

As far as I see in your picture there are two blocks in this range that are bad:
4B & 4C
but I also see that these blocks are found at block 3FE and 3FF so I don't know exactly how to process.

I think they need to be remapped but better wait for a confirmation of a more skilled user :rolleyes2:

J-Runner will automatically re-map any bad blocks found in the XeLL region before creating an ECC image.
thanks while I was looking through the jrunner tutorial i came by that even if the bad blocks are in the first 50 jrunner remaps .
Damn jrunner works wonders.

One last question though. This slim had a VIRGIN OFW dg16d4s fw 0225 drive in it and I updated the console without the dvd drive hooked up.Does it cause the dvd drive any problems because I know that some updates change the fw of the drive ,so wanted to ask to be sure. That silly drive has a winbond chip on it(lucky one escaped from me,if it was mxic I would've totally nailed that)
