Okay I installed a purple X3 on a v1.6 xbox. I had everything working fine. I then started playing with the skins, as you can see by my other posts. Upon trying to switch to the Hazard skin from allxboxskins.com my xbox froze up. I then turned it off and then back on again. When it came back on it seemed to boot fine, but freezes at the xbox logo screen, which says X3 inside on my xbox. At this point I tried to change to a bank 1-4 rather then 5-8. Again it froze. I had the Evox M8 bios on my backup rom, cuz I forgot to reflash it with flash bios when messing around prior to this. So I read up alittle and found that you can erase the eeprom on the x3 and get your original settings back. I got the x3 erase.xbe and upon trying to run it from evox m8 bios which load up to evox just fine, my xbox freezes. I decided to see if it was just the .xbe file not working correctly, so I put in a game (original) and again freezes at the loading screen. At this point I'm wondering if something on the chip may have shorted out if turned off and on too quickly, or if the bios are simply corrupted and therefore messing up the entire chip, or is the chips eeprom corrupted and messing everything up? I am at a loss, and will read on, but alittle help would be appreciated. I am able to ftp to the box from evox using evox m8 bios, but I can't get to a X3 config live screen no way, no how. What are my flashing options at this point? Thanks for taking the time to read my hope hopefully you can help.

whoa!! hold on there cowboy! Did you download new skins btw? If you did, ftp into your xbox and delete your skins folder. That should fix your problem.
BTW, don't put yourself in a situation where you don't have flashbios, man. Do yourself a favor by reflashing backup bios with flashbios.

Hey people, i have the same problem, i can't get my Xbox to load passed the logo screen with the X3 BIOS, before it happened i was too adding some skins, and i also set the password protect on my xbox in X3 Config (my 7yr bro is a nightmare!!!). So far i've deleted the Skins folder, even just reduced it to what it had before! This doesn't work. I've Reflashed the BIOS to the same and older versions of X3, this doesn't work. I had the EvoX M8 as a back up in the 2nd Mb bank and this loads fine!
What's even worse is my G: drive is showing up as zero, i had pretty much all my games backed up to this drive? I'm not sure if it's linked but it happened at the same time.
Can anyone give me hinters as to how to sort this problem out, i've spent hours and hours sifting through forums and google searches, and i'm completely at a loss. I'm assuming it has to be X3 BIOS as the evoX loads fine.
