hi. i just bought a CR4 xl and tried to install it on a phat jasper with the rgh2 method. everything was soldered right, after i soldered i checked it with a multimeter to ensure that i was making good connection. so i booted it up, and i did not get xell. it turned green for a few seconds, then went off, then went on again and again until i unplugged the console. so, at this point i was pretty angry. i booted it up again, but this time i got no green light. i resoldered, booted and got the same thing as the first time. no xell, but a long flashing green light that goes on and off. so, resoldered again. no green light or anything this time. so, after this i decided to try the R-TAG method. soldered everything up, got no green light. all of my dips and post bits were right, and i tried almost every combination. is there any way to tell if the chip is a fake? i have been reading this http://team-xecuter.com/forums/threads/151258-faulty-cr4xl-batch-or-fakes-help-TX and i bought my cr4 and jrp from modchipcentral. thnx.

We have had a few CR4's returned to us and our tech tested

Curious as to why there is not pictures of the Install/ Chip... Leads me to believe Soldering Issue.
Plus it's been Soldered/ Re-Soldered 3 times. This means you also are pretty sure it's your Soldering.

I have had more than one Jasper not work out . I have only had one bad CR-4 out of over 60 CR-4 installs Its always something else
