what SPI status does the drive show?

if 0x00, try erasing first (button next to read/write)
Where it normally shows the SPI it's blank!!

well at this point, i would suggest re-locking the spi, then re-unlocking

however, re-unlocking is going to be a chore as you no longer have a spot to probe/solder sputnik to with GND + 10ohm resistor

the command to re-lock the spi when you can't do it through GUI is "ctrl + shft + f11"

That's where I think I went wrong it wasn't fully unlocked and it let me flash, I wonder if there is alternative point to the one I lost!

Thanks for your time BTW, much appreciated.

I'm about to solder the alternative point to the chip (fingers crossed), I locked it again but the button still doesn't show!

Got the SPI button to show up, where do I go from here? (just want to make sure I do it right in case the button doesn't show up again if I do it wrong!)

It does show at the bottom of you jf log SPI 0x8c

Sent from my HTC Desire Z using Tapatalk
Spi Status: 0x8C was when I pressed Ctrl, Shift & F11 but I soldered the Spudnik chip back on and the SPI button comes up as 0x00 now, not sure what to do, just flash it or hit the SPI 0x00 button?

The switch has been at normal all along too.

I can get it to write but it doesn't verify, the switch is set to normal and I haven't moved it.

This is due to it still been locled

Lock the drive by ctr shift f10/11 I don't recall

Then outro

Intro again

Click the 0x8c button
Then touch the 10ohm to gnd from the point your using I am guessing a pin on the chip as you have damage your trace

Then once you here the beeps remove resistor and proceed your flash or erase whatever tickled your fancy

I've give up on it, the SPI button doesn't show unless I move the switch to unlock then it gives me 0x00 I then switch to normal and lock it to 0x8c, after that I try the unlock but no beeps at all!

When I just go ahead and try to write it either stops at the 1st dot or it will write but not verify :(

Thanks for your time everyone that halped.
