I followed the hacking for dummies guide and it al works as it should have, including flashing of the drive! once i tried to play my backup i got a please inert this into an xbox360 screen! it also says this with all orginals i have!! i only have one file in the backup which was created its called xtremefw.bin. I have tried to return to the backup which was created.it also was completed with no errors and i still get that same screen! sorry for such a long post! any help would be great!!

do you actually have a valid orig.bin?

as from what i can see it looks like you don't

Sounds to me like you flashed the drive with the xtremefw.bin?

i flashed the drive with xtreme52b, which i got from xbins. i dont have a orig.bin in my backups folder which was created and when i tried to recover the orig.bin they exrtact the key it says no valid key and said to many numbers were the same. i take it if u dont have a valid backup of orig.bin then its game over!

I'm sorry but did you actually read the tutorials.

If you have no valid key for which it seems you don't then your complete system is a errrmmm "brick"

Thats alot of money to wash down the pan all for not reading the tutorials even in the xtreme firmware pack you got from xbins has a text file explaining what to do.

I'm gutted for you mate

Maybe you should change your name to scots_fubar

sorry bout your loss scot. im sure someone is working on a way to extract the key from the mb. ;) hang in there! not all is totally lost though... you can always buy a new mb. just make sure the seller also provides the key with it. then you can use the new mb + new key + old sammy = working 360 again.

Yes because he doesn't have his key, the drive isn't the issue.

Of course, reboot into Windows before doing SAMHACK/xFlash and browse the bootable drive to the BACKUPS\1234567\12345 directory and you will find orig.bin.

right that guy should be more cautious...anyway he might have some luck to take x360 to the shop where he bought it they will probably still change it (if they wont notice there is no waranty sticker) or he can buy one from ebay (sticker i mean)
